VISUAL ARTS YR1

Monday 18 June – Tuesday 19 June 2012


1.     Present all work from elective areas i.e. painting, printmaking, sculpture plus one of your best general drawing ,life drawing

·        Each person will be allowed a maximum of 6 minutes to show off their work.

·        Time allocation for talks will be posted on notice board.

 

ALL STUDENTS TO ATTEND EVERY SESSION

MONDAY AND TUESDAY   (9.30 - 3.30)  BOTH DAYS

 

FOLIO MUST CONTAIN                                                                   

¨      Paintings - minimum 8

¨      Sculpture - minimum 5

¨      1 General & 1 Life Drawing

¨      Printmaking – Minimum - 1 lino print, 1 woodcut, 1 collagraph, 1 drypoint, an example of  a la poupe, 1 line etching. All signed and editioned.

LIFE DRAWING / GENERAL DRAWING

¨      Ongoing class assessment is based on work in class and  attendance , with  folios submitted at end of year  ,

STUDIO & MATERIAL STUDIES

¨      Ongoing class assessment is based on work in class and  attendance,

¨      For the digital class with Nathan, David Hockney joiners assignment and the Andy Warhol Pop art assignment

12 Paintings

8 Paintings

SCULPTURE

6 Sculptures

4 Sculptures

PRINTMAKING

8 - 10 Prints

6 - 8  Prints

DRAWING

6 large or 12 small  Drawings plus sketch books / journals

Your space to be cleaned up and work placed in neat stacks or folders

.2nd Year Business class assignment is due for the ‘Address Legal & Administrative Requirements’ component of the programme (as per hand-out).
